Featuring intricately woven strands of high-quality sterling silver, this chain exudes sophistication and strength.  This classic Sterling silver French Rope Chain has a braided appearance that gives it a remarkable shimmer despite its slender profile. This chain is great worn alone or as a beautiful partner for pendants.

The French rope chain features a double row of twisted links that are interconnected, producing a substantial chain with an obvious spiral, as if two rope chains were entwined.

Available in 1.2mm or 1.4mm thicknesses and in lengths of 18", 20" and 24", as well as an adjustable version in 1.4mm which can be worn sized to any length up to 22".

The adjustable chain features a clasp that's attached to a silicone-lined bead; the bead stays snug and secure on your chain yet allows you to slide it along the chain to adjust the length up to 22" (maximum).  This allows you to adjust your jewelry with your outfit or style; possibly wearing it as a choker during the day and as a draping necklace during the evening.

FAQ

Do I need to do anything special for wire wrapped items?

Try not to get lotion, makeup, perfume, hairspray or other chemicals on a fine wire wrapped piece.  Use a polishing cloth to wipe the metal/stones as needed.

Store in a safe place to avoid scratches.  Do not swim, sleep or shower wearing copper jewelry.  No ultrasonic cleansers should be used on wire wrapped jewelry.  Use a good hand soap to clean and dry with paper towels.

For patinaed pieces do not rub the darkened areas too much as it will lighten them; unless that is your desired effect.  Over time if a patina appears buff with a silver polish cloth until the desired shine is produced.

Is my gemstone easy to scratch?

Most diamonds, cubic zirconia, amethyst, topaz, peridot, citrine, aquamarine, etc. have a hardness rating that allows them to be worn continuously and cleaned with ultrasonic or polishing compounds.

Opals and Pearls are lower on the Mohs hardness scale and may be susceptible to scratches, chips or breakage.  They can generally be worn every day but should be removed when coming in contact with chemicals such as bleach or when activities may present chance for damage.

What is the difference between Sterling Silver and Argentium Silver?

Sterling Silver is often labeled as .925 because it is 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper, for strength.

Argentium Silver is 94% Silver and a 6% mix of Germanium and Copper for strength. Argentium Silver is identified as Sterling however it is more hypo-allergenic and will not tarnish due to the higher Silver content.
